Panels for the TEN-FOUR Rack - Licensed Australian Made
An open frame is honest. It's also a good look at your cable management, and not everyone wants that.
This is a six-piece set that closes in the TEN-FOUR frame: top, bottom, both sides, rear, and a front surround that frames the rails without blocking them. Everything bolts to the extrusion with M3 button head screws and drop-in T-nuts, so there's no new hardware system to learn and nothing proprietary holding you hostage.
What they actually do
Mostly, they make it look finished. That's the honest answer. A closed rack on a desk or in a living room reads as a piece of equipment rather than a science project. Secondary benefits: less dust on your gear, a flat top you can actually put something on, and cables that exit where you want them to instead of wherever gravity decides.
They are not sound insulation and they are not a thermal upgrade. The top panel comes with a perforated vent and the standard 71.5mm four-hole pattern, so you can bolt an 80mm fan straight to it — no adapter, no drilling. We build that in because closing up a rack full of hardware without airflow is a bad idea, and we'd rather solve it at the factory than let you discover it yourself.
The remaining panels ship solid. Venting can be added to any of them as a paid option at order time — tell us which panels when you order.
The rear panel has two 50mm cable pass-throughs. Enough for power, network, and whatever else trails out the back, without leaving the whole rear open.
Fits properly
Panels sit outside the frame, so usable internal depth and width are unchanged. Whatever fits in your bare TEN-FOUR still fits once it's enclosed. The front surround frames the rails without covering them — every U position stays fully accessible, top to bottom.
Shims are included. Extrusion tolerances and powder coat thickness both stack up, and shimming is how you get a flush, even gap rather than a set of panels that almost line up. Costs you a few minutes during assembly. It's the difference between finished and nearly finished.
Made here
5005 aluminium, Australian material, cut, powder coated and finished in our own workshop in SA. Not sourced, not rebadged, not drop-shipped from a catalogue with our logo stuck on it. If a panel is wrong, our hands made it wrong, and we'll fix it.
Because I design and manufacturer these in house we can customise it to suit. Pricing is subject to complexity.
Can be purchased separately, here.
