Most 10" racks turn up as a mystery. No spec, no drawings, no idea what the hole spacing actually is until you've measured it yourself with a caliper and a bad attitude.
TEN-FOUR is the opposite. The full interface specification is published. So is the supplier list. If you'd rather build one from scratch, everything you need to do that is free and sitting on our website right now. We'd rather you knew that up front than worked it out afterwards.
What you're buying here is the version where someone else already did the sourcing, the cutting, the tolerance-chasing (and the swearing when things don't quite add up like they did in your head!).

What it is
A 10" rack frame in 2020 aluminium extrusion with three-way corner connectors and Titan AV rack rails. Hole centres are set at 236.525mm, derived from EIA-310, so anything built to the 10" rack standard bolts straight in.
Open-frame design with the option of a full panel kit for a clean look.
Sized for the usual homelab suspects - mini PCs, Pi clusters, small switches, patch panels, PDUs, NAS builds, and whatever else has been accumulating on the shelf because it wouldn't fit anywhere sensible.
Highly customisable/mod friendly. With the main frame being 2020 aluminium extrusion, T-Nuts and bolts become your best friend in adding mods on all faces (inside and out!), not just on the rails.

Assembly
Assembly time is approx. 30 minutes (excluding cover plates). The corner connectors locate the extrusion square, so it goes together right the first time — no set square, no diagonal measuring, no prayer.
Open, and it means something
The interface specification — hole spacing, rail geometry, mounting patterns — is public domain. Build panels and accessories against it, publish them, sell them. No permission needed, no conditions. The standard exists so the ecosystem can grow, and we'd rather it grew than stayed ours.
The design files — CAD, drawings, cut lists — are published under CERN-OHL-S v2, an open hardware licence approved by the Open Source Initiative. Build your own. Modify it. Improve on it. If you sell a product based on it, the one condition is that you publish your design files under the same terms, so the next person gets what you got.
Every component supplier is named on the spec/build page. No mystery parts, no relabelled anything.
That's the deal: you can build this yourself, and we've told you exactly how. What you're paying for is that it's already cut, finished, square and correct.
